Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her high-quality performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The film Piano earned her numerous awards including an Oscar. She began her career acting as an actress both on Broadway and Off Broadway. Acting has always been her love of life. In the fifth grade she was cast as Helen Keller in an original show. The actress was deaf in one ear due to mumps but did not allow this handicap to hinder her determination to become an actor. When she was in college studying drama, she moved to New York City with her plans to achieve them. Hunter was able to make her Broadway debut following an unplanned meeting with Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. As she settled in Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. She landed one as an actress supporting the leading character Swing Shift. In the last three decades Holly Hunter has been on numerous TV shows and films. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame star as well as a winner of the Women in Film Lucy Award.
