Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer and director. Her name has been acknowledged for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The movie Piano earned her numerous awards including an Oscar. The accomplished actress started her career as an actor by performing on stage, by performing in a myriad of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th class show. The mumps caused her to lose her hearing in one of her ear, however this didn't stop the actress from following her dreams. When she was a teenager, Hunter studied drama and eventually moved in New York City. Hunter was trapped in the elevator of the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They worked together to write Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. After moving from New York to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to find film roles. The role of a supporting actress was securing for Swing Shift. She has since appeared in a variety of TV movies and series throughout a span of more than 30 years. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
